“I really like that one, but could you…”

I hear that once in awhile during a invitation consultation.  I tell all couples when we meet and I’m pulling out my bins of invitations, that none of the invitations I’m going to show them are exactly their style. That’s what’s great about custom invitations.

There is a wedding like this that rolls around once a year for me.  I just didn’t see it coming when I met the GROOM at a bridal show.  Yes, the groom.  Solo.  His bride couldn’t make it but he wanted to come and get information for her.

Currently, Mary & Justin’ style and color combination for their wedding is one of my favorite.  Navy is such a hot color right now but incorporating this color into fall colors through florals is amazing.  And this is seen in their wedding photos.

Everything I designed for Sarah just fell into place.  And maybe how we first met was a good indication of that.  I was in Omaha (from Cedar Rapids at the time) meeting with a few other couples, and she called and wanted to schedule a consultation.

I’m not a mind reader.  I don’t think I am at least.  But I have to admit, I have a gift to take pieces laid out in front of me and create artwork that is beautiful.  Allie & Austin’s custom designed invites were beautiful and probably something I would create for my own wedding.

The wedding season is in full bloom for 2015, but I had to take a moment to try and catch up with the Fall weddings of 2014.  There were some BEAUTIFUL weddings last fall with this one being one of those.

I recently blogged about an Omaha couple (Megan & Ross) who had a beautiful church/city style wedding.  It was elegant and beautiful.  The same time I was blogging on Megan I got an email from Shawna, a bride who got married this past Fall.

Simple.  It’s a word that couples use sometimes when we first meet to discuss wedding style.  And sometimes, these couples use that word with other words such as “plain” or even “boring”.  Not in my world.  Simple is beautiful. And that’s where we started with Tiffany and Cody.

Fourth of July wedding!  Awesome!  Red, white and blue and fireworks and all the good old fashion America.

Well, they had fireworks.  And after you see the photos below, you’ll agree with me, their style was spot on regardless of the day of the year Kristin and Adam had their wedding on.
