Each year, the UNO College of Business releases a print magazine showcasing student achievements, faculty research, alumni impact, and strategic initiatives. They needed a designer who could keep the publication visually consistent year to year while still allowing each edition to feel fresh and engaging.

The Challenge

Due to budget cuts, the College of Business could no longer rely on the university’s internal marketing department for design support. They needed an external partner who could take the reins, someone who understood higher education, could work within brand guidelines, and deliver a professional, publication-worthy magazine that reflected the college’s mission and momentum.

The Solution

Starting with the previous year's layout as a base, I refreshed the design with modern typography, clean grids, and visual breathing room. Each spread was thoughtfully customized to fit the content, whether that meant a bold opener for a student spotlight or a sleek two-page layout for faculty insights. The result: a publication that’s professional, polished, and unmistakably UNO.
