When I got an email from Amber about her wedding at the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel in the Blackstone District in Omaha, I was excited. Omaha’s newest venue was on trend for looks as well as their boutique style. But the Cottonwood wasn’t the only thing that jumped out at me.

When you think of wedding menus, you think of a list of food items that your guests will be served, right? I mean, that’s great and all. But wedding menus don’t have to list food.

GASP.

A question I get a lot is, “Do you design other invitations?”

Answer: Of course I do!

I do focus a lot of my marketing towards weddings, but I do design invitations for baby and bridal showers, baby announcements, birthdays, bar mitzvahs and so much more.

Alli and James were a couple who postponed their early summer 2020 wedding. This couple had to give up their original wedding date, but they did not want to give up their amazing venue or beautiful pastel spring wedding colors.

Kaitlin came to me with her dark, moody and on trend wedding style and I fell in love. I sent off her estimate after we met and almost begged her to pick me to do her invitations.

No begging needed. I was hired. And designing these invitations were a dream.

It’s super easy to vote and there are no lines and hopefully no controversy

This is one of my favorite blog posts to do every year – the wedding color trends for 2021! Last year I would say my color trends were right on of what I was seeing from a majority of my Midwest couples.

I don’t think anyone can argue that a good ol’ fashioned family wedding is fun. You get to see relatives you haven’t seen forever. You get to see young cousins grown up. And you get to drink and dance and eat cake and who can complain about that?

Life gets a bit overwhelming after you have a baby. And after baby #3, you think I would have that figured out. But a new baby at the start of wedding season had me frazzled and I had to make some decisions.

One was finding a nanny to care for my newborn while I could get a few hours of interrupted work.
