Being organized is a big key when it comes to running a business.

Especially if you’re the ONE person in the business.

Three times a year, a few of my friends and I get together and have brunch. But, this brunch is a bit different than your typical Omaha brunch.

There are those weddings every year that will define my year. In 2019, I felt I had a handful of those, and Emily & Isaac’s wedding in Lincoln, Nebraska was one of them.

This couple. I knew the day I met with them they were going to be one that I would just love working with.

They were down-to-earth. They were funny. And they clicked like no other couple I’ve met with.

Love ’em or not, Save the Dates are apart of our wedding fabric. They not only announce your wedding date but it gives your guests a heads up to make travel plans if they need to.

In the early spring of 2019, Nebraska endured record breaking flooding and devastation. Farmland was washed out, small towns had to move and bridges were washed away over night.

By now I’ve met with a handful of 2020 brides and I’m starting to see a few themes and trends emerge. And some trends are running over from 2019 because they’re just so popular and beautiful.

A challenge is always waiting at my front door.

If it’s something crazy new I’ve never designed before or some sort of off-the-wall idea, I tend to attract these things, I swear.

The world is small.

I was reminded of this one day when I met Caroline about her wedding invitations. I was showing her another invite (as I always do) and she noticed something.
