In the middle of the winter months in Nebraska, I like to go through photos from the weddings of the past year and look at all the beautiful summer weddings.  The sunshine, the blue skies, the tan bodies…oh yes.

When I start designing ceremony programs, I know I’m getting to go-time for the couple.  Things are getting busy, decisions are being made and the stress level is probably a bit higher than when we were designing wedding invitations.

Classic style weddings seem to find me.  I think it’s because it’s truly hard to find a beautiful classic wedding invitations that can somehow still capture a personality or individual style.

Meticulous.

It’s a word that sometimes gets a bad wrap. I mean, I picture someone who is overbearing and a control freak. But if you look at the definition it means:

I’ve heard it before.  I’m sure you have too.

“People just throw away wedding invitations.”

Of course, this makes my skin crawl.  I mean, it’s like telling a dentist that your teeth are just going to fall out.  Okay, maybe that’s a bit extreme.

I rarely sit down and chat with one of my couples after their wedding day. Life happens and if I stay in touch over social media, I figure I’m doing good.

It was 2016 and I was attending the Creative at Heart Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.  I sat next to a tall blonde who matched me.  I mean, we were both wearing red plaid shirts as if we planned it.

I was approached a few months ago to create a wall calendar for a friend.  She is a wedding planner and likes to look at her year from a birds eye, so she can see the weekends she has weddings,

Utilizing greenery into your floral is a wedding trend I’m loving right now.  I think it’s because I don’t know the name of many flowers.

The wedding guest list.  I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. It’s the hardest, the most time consuming and challenging part of your wedding planning process.  Where do you start? And the bigger question…where do you end?
