The wedding season is in full bloom for 2015, but I had to take a moment to try and catch up with the Fall weddings of 2014. There were some BEAUTIFUL weddings last fall with this one being one of those.
Sabrina and Travis are meant for each other. There is no doubt about that. From the day I met them, they acted like they’ve known each other their entire lives. It’s hard to describe but their comfort with each other was present. And in a good way. They’ll always be the couple I remember meeting who really didn’t have a plan when it came to what colors they wanted. Now, I’ve met a lot of couples who didn’t have a wedding “color” per say. But when I gave Sabrina and Travis my deck of swatch colors, they picked about 15 colors. That has never happened. So I had some work to do.
They described to me their Arizona destination wedding with a reception back in Omaha a month later. It sounded amazing. And the photos…wow. They show the truly amazing day it was. We started with a postcard Save the Date which featured their beloved, Glenn. Glenn and I are Facebook friends now if you can believe that (I hope to actually meet him someday). Glenn also got his name in the ceremony program as they DROVE HIM down to Arizona with them. By the way, Glenn has to be a 90 lb, large, hairy dog.
After the Save the Dates, we created pocket fold invitations. The pocket was a beautiful Peacock color with purple, pink and orange accents throughout, as well as a metallic silver envelope. The wedding day pieces were even better with ceremony programs, Thank You notes and an agenda for the guest bags which were placed in the guest’s hotel rooms. And of course, an invitation to the open house/reception back home.
Congrats, Sabrina & Travis. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
