When Ben came to pick up the items for their wedding day I told him, “Go get married!” Ben’s response:
“I’M TRYING!”

Lauryn and Ben’s early spring wedding was one of those 2020 weddings that had to be postponed. A late March 2020 wedding wasn’t in the stars for this couple, so they optimistically moved it to June. And as things weren’t getting too much better in the U.S., this couple embraced what they were given and went through with the June 12 date.
Lauryn and Ben picked one of my pre-designed invitations and upgraded it to make it a pocket invitation. This was SUCH a great move as it really made the invite their own. Any of my designs can be made into a pre-designed package and when they saw Lindsey & Trenton’s invite from 2018, they fell in love. We changed colors, added the pocket and BOOM…perfection.

With a lot of postponed weddings, the invitations were out way before the postponement was made. At this point, I’m sure the couple was very relieved to hire someone to help them with this! I was happy to reprint (at cost) and get new invitations into their hands.

For wedding date, we created some great items as well such as this signature drink sign featuring their three dogs. Lauryn told me the sign was almost more popular than they were on wedding day (sorry not sorry)! We also created koozies (with the old March date on them, but they used them to celebrate the irony of their journey) and a “safety measures” sign (something no couple thought they would need at their wedding).

This couple was the first couple on my list for 2020 who had to postpone their wedding. And my heart just ached as they had to change directions. But looking back, their wedding was perfect. Maybe not as many people…but perfect for them.
