The day I met Lisa & Steve, they were headed to a Nebraska vs. Creighton basketball game. And if you know anything about this in-state rivalry…it’s just that…a rivalry.
Lisa was dressed in blue. Steve in red. I’m sure that makes for some interesting conversations around the dinner table.

Being a Nebraska alum, I had to tell Steve how good he looked in red. And I left it at that.
So when I saw that Billy the Bluejay and Herbie Husker appeared at their wedding reception, I wasn’t surprised.

Their wedding was definitely not red & blue though. Lisa & Steve’s classic wedding was beautifully classic, neutral toned with blush as their main color.
Their invitations were a panel pocket invitation with a blush pocket and gorgeous, classic cards tucked into the back pocket. The envelope liners were rose gold glitter and I love when invitations can make a statement with a bold and beautiful touch like that.

We created a monogram for them, with a baby’s breath wreath , which we used on the invite as well as created an acrylic white ink sign to greet guests as they walked into the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln for the reception.

I truly enjoyed working with this couple, as well as Lisa’s mom who was always a joy to chat with. I just hope their future children know to wear either red or blue, depending on what parent they want to please.
