I told myself I was not going to participate in any styled shoots this year. But when some of my favorite vendors friends are getting together to do one, I broke down and said OF COURSE I’ll do the styled shoot!
And I’m glad I did because the images captured by CB Yates Photography are nothing less than stunning. The blue tones used in this styled shoot are in between classic and boho. I love the ornate details of the vases and glassware by Aaron Carlson Design.
I wanted to let those elements speak on their own, so the wedding invitations I designed for this shoot take on just a touch of that blue. I love the simplicity of these invitations and how the script used is minimal. I believe that sets off a classic tone so well.
This invitation styling makes me giddy BTW.
The menus again let the elements around it speak and I love the navy napkins that were used to make these pop. I can’t imagine this tablescape without a menu!
And finally, my favorite piece was the place cards I designed. I’ve been wanting to create these for so long so I took this opportunity to do it. I love these square card with a cut out to fit right on top of a champagne flute.
When coming up with names for my place cards (again, styled shoot), I like to pull names from past couples or make up my own. I mean, when your 4 year old is OBSESSED with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, it’s just always on the top of my mind.
Thanks to The Gallery for inviting me to this styled shoot and of course to all the uber talented vendors who participated. Totally worth it 🙂
