I was a new mom. I was 100% committed on going back to work after my daughter was born and did. But while I was on maternity leave, things changed.

Jordan told me when we met to talk about wedding invitations that she had seven other friends getting married before her and she wanted her invitation to be different.

As much as I love designing wedding invitations, designing the wedding day items could actually be my favorite part. Items like ceremony programs are common but it’s the really unique pieces that get my heart going.

You can’t control the weather. Especially in the state of Nebraska. I mean, I can be 80 degree and gorgeous one day, snowing the next. I wish I was making that up.

At first, it seems easy, right? Your names, date, location…boom. Done. But as you sit down to discover, there are more ways to word an invitation than you may have realized.

The day I met Lisa & Steve, they were headed to a Nebraska vs. Creighton basketball game. And if you know anything about this in-state rivalry…it’s just that…a rivalry.

Because I meet with so many couples, I get to see so many different styles of weddings. From modern to classic, to elegant to rustic…I get a variety each year. And maybe that’s why I love doing what I do. Every wedding is different.
