Some things are meant to be. I mean, wedding ceremony at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church + reception at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo's newest wedding venue + amazing couple with beautiful invitations. It's what wedding dreams are made of.

And "meant to be" not only applies to Michelle & Ben (who obviously were made for each other), but with their wedding invites. Because the most beautiful part of this pocket wedding invitation package was something we didn't plan for at first.

Belly Band for Wedding Invitations

Enter in the belly band. Their navy pocket was just the right tone for their classic Greek wedding. The gold tones were amazing and the plan was, to do a gold paper belly band around this pocket.

Enter in paper supply shortages.

It's unavoidable especially right now. I was riding a wave of luck for too long and I knew it. It was bound to hit me and with this invitation suite, it finally did. Gold paper was non existent. The mill was behind. All my vendors were out. So we had to pivot.

I pitched to Michelle & Ben an off-white belly band with their monogram in gold foil. And they were game. When they arrived from my print shop...goosebumps. They were gorgeous. As if it were meant to be.

Animal Place Card Holders

With all of that, the most fun of this wedding get overshadowed for me. But check out these place cards that were inserted into small, gold animals (when at the zoo....). It was such a personalized touch and coordinated so well.
