Black and White Classic Invitations with a Modern Touch

It's almost been one year since I got to work with this fun couple. Kayla and Jack brought so many great ideas to their summer wedding in Elkhorn, Nebraska. They picked a design I fell in love with for their invitations. And for wedding day, we brought this black and white classic look throughout everything.

I had a connection with this couple from the beginning. I knew Jack from his business, Owen's Mowing. Plus, I designed for his brother's wedding a few years ago, so a double connection. I didn't know Kayla per say but I easily could have. She's from the area of Nebraska grew up in (Northeast Nebraka whoo whoo) so we knew many of the same people. And this wedding was going to be amazing from the start. Think of it as a small town wedding coming to the "big" city of Omaha.

The thing I loved about these invitations were they were classic with a touch of modern. This couple definitely had a style that screamed classic, but I also had a feeling they wanted things a touch out of the box. I just loved the fonts we used for their invites (just a touch of script) and the left justification of the text. Add in that black belly band and this invite is perfection.

For wedding day, we created all the things. Like literally, everything. The highlight: the seating chart. This two-piece seating chart was tall and had flower boxes in the front. The signs we created for this piece fit everything perfectly. Other highlights for me: their monogram throughout the entire reception, signature drink signs, gorgeous white acrylic table numbers and a welcome sign that matched perfectly.

Congrats to this fun couple! Thanks for trusting me with your wedding day.
