Acrylic Wedding Invitations Set the Tone for Omaha Winter Wedding

Acrylic wedding invitations. It's something I've been waiting to cross my desk for awhile. I've sent estimates for these beautiful things but Kelsey and Kyle were one of my first to pull the trigger. And they were the perfect couple for this. For many reasons. Let's list those reasons:

Their style was on point

For real, look at this wedding. I could almost picture this in my head when I first met this couple. They wanted things simple yet elegant. Classic yet have an edge. They had details down to perfection. I was just along for the ride of making their dream wedding come true.

We did all the things. Save the Dates, invitations, ceremony programs, koozies, acrylic place cards, table numbers...endless amazing things.

They were willing to do something different: Acrylic invitations

You know those online "big box" invitation websites? Ya, I've gotten invitations from those places. I've gotten the same invitation from those places for different weddings. Kelsey and Kyle wanted to do something opposite of that. They wanted their guests to get their wedding invitation and stop in their track and wonder what kind of an event is this?

I gotta say, between the acrylic, the black envelopes with white ink printing AND the gold envelope liner...they got some people's attention.

They were understanding when things went a little south

Let's face it, getting married in 2020 was enough of a headache. Are we having the wedding? Should we postpone? What are the government regulations on how many we can have at our wedding. Oy. So when had to call Kelsey to tell her the acrylic invitations I received from my print shop were not up to my standard of quality, I wanted to crawl into a cave and hide.

Of course I didn't. Knowing we were on a tight timeline (like everyone last year), I made that call. And they were very understanding. Like, nice about it. Ultimately, I wanted to make things right and make their invitations perfect. So with a few extra days, I was able to reprint acrylic invitations and overnight them to myself, so I can secure the belly band in place and complete the package. Because this couple was so understanding, I made sure to stuff all the envelopes too so they were ready to seal and get to the post office.
